Note: From the 1950s until the County Matrixing of addresses in the 1970s, this address was known as "50 Main Street."

Confirmed Use as of October 22, 2025:​

1924: The Sanborn Fire Map of Sykesville for this date shows a garage with a capacity of 16 cars at this location (see above)

c. 1950: This address may have served as part of Sinclair service station (see photograph above)

1964-1969: Sykesville Bowling Center, under the management of Howard Slade and James Hurt operates at this address (Town of Sykesville Business License records)

1981-85: Charles Mullins changes the property's designation to "Commercial" in 1979 and operates at this location beginning in 1981 as Crab Alley restaurant (see above photo) which changed liquor licensing in 1985 to Gerald and Mary Lou Wilkinson (Notice of Application for Liquor License, Carroll County Times, 28 February 1979, p. 18; 13 June 1979, p. 2; 21 January 1981, p.9; 30 April 1985 p.20)

1986-1991: This address serves as Captain's Quarters restaurant (Carroll County Times, 16 January 1986, p. 15; ) 

1991: The fixtures and furniture of the (legally still) Crab Alley restaurant under Charles Mullins are sold (Carroll County Times, 1 December 1991, p. 27)

1992-1996: Power Lighting electrical company (see above photo) operates at this location (Carroll County Times, 17 March 1992, p. 20)

2004: Asher Bartos Advertising (2004 Centennial on the Tracks Walking Map)

2012: The engineer's office of the State Highway Administration is located here. "Sykesville Past and Present," Linda Greenberg, 2012)
